Acorn nut sizes

I am replacing rivets in my 1997 Scamp 13. I have read RogerDat's very informational posts on rivet size but have one remaining question - what size acorn nut to use on the 1/8 inch diameter rivets? I think #10/20 aluminum but want to be sure I have all the correct parts before I get started.
I figure I'll use 1/4" acorn nuts for the 3/16 rivets since #12 are hard to find.
Thanks!

Okay maybe I’m wrong ( not the first time)

But I thought acorn nuts would thread onto something like a stainless steel 1/4-20 bolt or whatever size you use

Not onto a rivet.....

What am I missing ????

Casita, and apparently also Scamp uses acorn nuts on the exposed ends of pop rivets. Rivet is inserted from outside, helper holds acorn nut on rivet inside, and rivet is then set and acorn nut is held in place. It's just to give a finished look where the rivets can be seen. I don't actually agree with this method, but not getting into that discussion.

I replaced all the pop rivet into acorn nut fasteners on my Boler. Used 10-32 SS thread size and a flanged washed outside as seen on the picture.

What did you use underneath the flanged washer to make it watertight? And did you add plastic caps to the washer afterward?

Just used a small strip or circle of Butyl rubber tape. Works great.

You can also get a variety of washers that accept the snap caps.
