Advice on repairing fiberglass damage to hot water tank opening

Hello, I am in the midst of restoring my Bigfoot B19 and am replacing the hot water tank. I have enclosed a picture of the fiberglass damage to the cutout area on the trailer where the hot water tank is to be inserted.

Just not sure where to start to fix this area before I reinstall the hot water tank.

Thanks alot. And any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Jay

Doesn't look that bad to me.....yu can buy a fiberglass repair kit or simply epoxy it. Both would require some sanding and minor paint touch up. You could also take it to a boat shop.....they do fiberglass repairs all the time.....they would consider this a minor repair. Good luck.

Looks like some not great wood behind that. Might want to address that at this time
