Anode question (Atwood G6A-7)

We have an Atwood G6A-7 propane water heater on our Scamp 13. Works very well and I'd like it to stay that way. Should I have an anode?

I've looked at the water heater itself and the instruction sheet . . . I can find no anode nor any mention of one.

What's going on here? What am I missing?
