Anyone have a suggestion for replacing my elx-20 converter

The power converter ( Elixir products)... doesn’t seem to be charging my battery
Everything I’ve read is these are no longer made
I m looking for either some troubleshooting advice as well as some recommendations to replace it
I’ve read that the pd4130 are the way to go... but some folks have had issues w/wiring and poor instructions
Before I go this route I’d like to do some troubleshooting on my existing converter
I’d appreciate any and all advice

I changed my factory converter section out, and kept my power breaker section, i used a PD9145 converter, the wiring was relatively straight forward

Thanks for the Info
How did you troubleshoot it to the point you needed to replace

in my case , I knew that the converter did not have a very well regulated charging circuit, so rather than destroy a good battery, I chose just to buy a new converter, if you have a model number, I can try to find a diagram and see if I can help you out. that would also let me know if it makes sense to change just a converter section, or the entire unit, pictures would also be a good thing

PD4135. Yes, instructions are less than ideal. But others have posted instructions and suggestions. I’d rather get good quality with mediocre instructions than mediocre quality with good instructions. Enough people have posted instructions on the web.

here is what I found on another web site:
Inteli-Power® PD4135 AC/DC Distribution Panel & Power Converter with Built-In Charge Wizard®
Direct replacement and same cutout size for WFCO (8712, 8725, 8735) Elixir (All 12-30 Amp) Centurion (All 12-30 Amp CS1200, CS2000, CS3000)

seems like this would be a quick fix, also found that the elixir's are no longer manufactured

This is a very good way to go and probably the best choice for a novice. Changing the entire unit requires you to rewire all the breakers and 12v fuses. Breakers and fuse blocks rarely go bad so it is much easier to simply pull the convertor part out replace it with the modern part and be done with it. Far less work and stress to achieve the same result.
