Hello all.
This is my first post, other than my trailer wanted ad. I ended up finding a 1972
Trillium, that is in pretty decent shape. For the money that we had to purchase something (~$3500), and the remoteness of where I live, I think I did ok. Frame appears to be solid, there's new
tires and bearings recently packed. Some imminent issues include:
- Couple of 4" cracks in fibreglass around windows
- Updated cupboards are cheap and do not latch
- No icebox or fridge
- No heater
- Paint job isn't aethetically pleasing
Other than that though, it gets our little family out (have a 15month old child) camping, and keeps us dry (hopefully), which is all we really need.
Anyway, as we head out camping this weekend, I wanted to explore some
awning ideas. I don't foresee fixing an
awning to the trailer anytime soon, so I was thinking of something freestanding. Does anyone have any ideas for something like this? Would CanadianTire have something? An RV shop? Ideally, it would be some place where we could put a mat down with some toys where my kid, and us too, would be dry if it rains.
Sorry for the long post. I wanted to introduce myself too, and give a quick rundown of our sweet trailer.
Thanks in advance.
