B1700 belly band fix help and more

Good morning. I recently picked up a 17' boler, insure of the year (77-79 I assume). Overall it seems to be in fairly decent shape but a piece of the banding holding 2 halves together us broken and missing. Any ideas if and what I can replace this with? Also my door seems to be cracked in the middle, it has some flex to it, too many years of slamming it maybe??. Can that be fixed? I'm sure I'll have many other questions along the way. I've renovated an airstream so a lot of parts, gaskets etc i can figure out where to source from. Haven't figured out how to post pictures yet.

I believe your trailer is a '77. The belly band is a C channel available at any metal supplier. The problem would be bending it without it kinking.
Other area's to look out for are at each end. Mine had the front table hardware screwed right through to the back of the bellyband causing it to leak. Same with screws in the rear. I fibreglassed wood blocking to the walls in this area and attached everything to them.

Thank you. Thankfully, she only requires a small section to the left of the door. 2-3' maybe. It seems fairly flat there. My table is not screwed to the wall, I am not sure if it was a previous mod but it is a free standing pedestal. We had a bit of snow here last night and it looked as if only one window and by the door had water spots. I think I lucked out on this one. Can't check wayer yet as dump valve is broken but fridge, stove and furnace all work.
