1.its silconed on outside but water is coming in around the lock so..
2. Anything I need to be careful with when removing ?
3.how was it originay sealed ..buthyl tape??
4.my lock sticks what can I do so it unlocks better ? As well you can't lock or unlock from inside without lots of force( fearbwell break) so i made a redneck inside lock lol but if I can fix when its off let me know

As I'm sure you are aware Bargman locks are no longer made and sell for hundreds on eBay. Even the repair kits are pricey. My trailer came with one of the last L300's made. I took it off once to lubricate it. Two scews and it was off. Butyl tape was what they used and what I used. With silicone you'll have to work at it. I'd use a hair dryer and a putty knife. Loosen the screws but don't remove them to avoid having either side fall to the ground and break.

We've had members take their locks to a locksmith with some success. Some parts like springs are common items. Some are not. If it just needs cleaning and lubrication they should be able to handle it. Good luck. Raz

On my latch , the latch had a groove worn into it from the stricker plate on the frame which caused the latch to bind up. I took a file to it to remove the groove. On guy on here fixed his with an aluminum piece.
bargmann repair

BTW Raz if you need a L300, have a used one in the garage!

Thanks for the offer but mine is in great shape and I found a rebuild kit before they got pricey. Consider putting it on eBay and financing your next vacation.

Ya the prices are crazy. I was lucky to find a l400 rebuild kit for about $30 , now they are $150.

the piece with the black plastic cap looks bent, should be straight up and its the lever you use to lock it from the inside. Everything else looks good
