Batteries not included

I’m sure other members can answer this: will a trailer brake lights, turn signal etc work when there is no battery in the trailer? I ask because I brought the trailer batteries home to keep them charged over the winter while the trailer itself is in storage elsewhere.

Yes, the trailer brake lights, turn signal, etc. will work without a battery. If you have trailer breakaway brakes on your trailer, that will not work without a battery to supply power. That is only used if the trailer should become unhitched while in motion.

With the trailer in storage there is no reason for those lights to work. The lights run off the TOW vehicle and will work once connected to it even with the camper battery out of it.
