Best way to seal screws in shell?

What is the best way to seal screws that penetrate the fg shell?
On hand I have: Sikaflex sealant, Tech plastic, spot putty and resin.
Will any of these work?
I am hoping not to have to make a special trip to the store but, on the other hand, want to make sure I stop water so will buy something else if necessary.
Thanks.

I used rubber bonded washers. That is what my trailer originaly had. I found them at Lowes. They come in #10, #8, #6 an 1/4".

I owned various fiberglass sailboats for many years and I always used sikaflex or 3M 5200 for such things. Both products work very well.

+1 on the Sika-Flex. It's my sealant of choice as well.
3M 5200 is also a very good sealant, but the downside to using it is that, when applied, it creates a virtually permanent un-releasable bond. If you want to use a 3M product, I'd opt for the 4200 instead of 5200, unless you never ever want to take whatever you're bonding apart again.

You are right about the 5200 Greg although for screws I've not had a problem with getting them out. 4200 would be a better choice though.

Thanks

I went with the SIka-flex since I had it anyway and it was recommended. Thanks. One more job down.

How does Dicor compare to SikaFlex

I haven't used either product yet. I've read good things about Dicor and purchased some of it to use when installing a MaxxFan. Is SikaFlex a better product for this application?

Thanks!!

Are Screw Caps or Snap Caps needed?

Forgot to include this in my earlier question! What is the Forum's opinion on using Screw Caps, also referred to as Snap Caps, for covering screws on the roof or even on the sides?

Thanks again,

Bernie
