Bigfoot Fifthwheel Question ??

Hey Everyone ! We just purchased our fourth Bigfoot. Decided to move to a fifthwheel...this time ! Anyway, it's 1988 or 1989 F20 model and the sticker with all the particulars that should be in our closet is not there. It's actually outside on the back side of the trailer. Unfortunately, it's almost impossible to read. The Canadian winters have not been kind to the gel coat. Lots of fading and oxidation. Just wondering if there may be someone out there with our vintage who can help me decipher what it reads...I'm sure they all had different weights etc but if someone has the same sticker maybe I can figure out what the numbers mean by the sequence.

The first columm reads :8744/1696
The second reads: 3500/1586
The third reads: P235/75r15 15"6 ( that's the tire size)
Then there's a bunch of N/As
Then F20 5th wheel trailer followed by the serial number.

I'm trying to find out the weight so I can get a hitch put in our truck !!! Hopefully this will make some sense to an owner out there. Thanks all ! Mitch

We just sold our 1988 Bigfoot Deluxe (dual axle) 5th wheel this past spring. We had a 14,000 pound Hi-Jacker pivoting hitch ( that is back and forth and side to side- because we towed with a short box Tundra V8). We had that trailer physically weighed at the Oregon NOG a year ago and it came in at 5,060 pounds loaded with all our gear.
Help this helps.

Our single axle came in at 4660 lbs. We have a short bed truck and use a Super Glide. Here is a thread I started when we were trying to decide on a hitch...

Hi,

I have a 17' bigfoot travel trailer with a similar label as you can see in attached picture:
1st column is GVWR 3500lb/1585kg (max trailer weight)
2nd column is GAWR 3500lb/1585kg (max axle weight)
then there is tire size ST205/75R145
rim size 14" 5.5
cold pressure 32/15 psi/kpa

So I think you have a dual axle trailer with max load of 8744lbs

Thanks for sending that Link Lizbeth ! Awesome read and makes things a lot clearer. Super Glide is the route we will take too.

Edward ! That's the identical sticker to mine.Ours is so faded and impossible to read... After going out to take another look. I think my top line is 3544 lbs not 8744. It's actually a single axel so it makes sense that it would be under 4000lbs.
All of our other BF had the sticker inside the trailer in a cupboard. Why they put it on the outside is a mystery to me ??? Over time, these fade etc exposed to the elements. Anyway thanks for that info it really helps !!
