Bigfoot trailer Location of monitor panel?

A quick question to those BF owners. Getting some measurements to swap in a new waste outlet in my B19 and I see wires and sensors on my grey tank (not sure of the black and fresh). Don’t know if sensors were always there and the monitor is optional, or, if there is/was a monitor panel in my old trailer, where I might start looking for it, or the wiring.
Thank you 😊

Looks like the monitor panel was optional, but I guess they're all wired for it.

It would be on the range hood, right over the stove.

Thanks Zach. I there’s nothing on my range hood, or even close to it, so likely all pre-wired. Might be thru to the interior or just local at the tanks. I’ll go searching tomorrow while I’m on my back under the black tank.

Hi Deb,

I just purchased a B19 and it has the monitor.

Mine is in/on the wall between the stove and the fridge. (facing the stove to the left of the stove)

It's center is approximately 19" above the counter and roughly in line with the two front burners or the face of the cupboard above the stove.

Hope this helps,
Scott

Thanks Scott. Yes it does! Since I very obviously (now) do not have, and never have had a monitor, I’m going to take a look at installing a monitor. Wiring is there, so I may as well take advantage of it. These are fairly generic sensors from what I understand, so should be able to install a compatible monitor.

Another low priority “would be nice” job for the to-do list.

Oh yeah, it's definitely a very basic thing. I don't know much about electronics, but I've been forced to trouble shoot and fix things a few times since I usually own old vehicles and old campers.

I don't know exactly how they work, but I'm guessing it's just like installing an aftermarket tachometer or anything like that. There's a signal (or not, if there's nothing in the tank) coming from that wire. The monitor will know what to do with that signal.

The gauges really are nice.

On my 1989 B17 the monitor panel is on the wall beside the stove about the same height as the hood fan. Good hunting.
