bizarre sighting

Yesterday I was west bound on MN state highway 210. Baxter, MN. At the intersection of 210 and 371 sitting at the stop light was at first glance looked to be a tan painted 13 ft Scamp. As I turned and saw more it was what looked like a 13 ft fiberglass trailer that had been mounted on a sixties vintage flat bed truck that was painted to match the trailer. If I wasn't concerned that the owner might take offence with me following them, I would have pursued them to get a photo. It was bizarre, unique, and fun appealing all at the same time. I know anyone on this forum would have remembered seeing this unit. Ring any bells?

I seem to recall that there was a thread about this a few years back, I'll have to see if I can find it. Maybe that person is a member here and will chime in.
Certainly sounds like an 'out of the box' thinker!

Anything like this? I doubt it, since this isn't a truck chassis or body....

Was it this one? Although the truck is from the 50s.

Wow!

The pictures were of different units, these are great, mechanical artists do these, I love it! To have the gift of art and to acquire the knowledge of engineering and mechanics together works great together! If I see this rig again I will get a photo.

From the date stamp on the picture that Donna posted, it looks like it was on the road in 2005. Still out there 10 years later. That's cool!
