Black knobs holding refer hatch

How do you open the refrigerator hatch.. Do I give it a quarter turn or keep unscrewing. Scamp 13'.

You merely rotate the keeper away, a quarter turn and out of the way of the frig door opening. Is that what you're asking?

If you can keep turning yours more than a quarter turn, it is likely broken off the keeper piece. Pretty common, and easily replaced.

The photo below shows the piece upside down. The slot between the two curved pieces is what rotates over the door piece. Note how it is curved to rotate in a circular fashion, a quarter turn.

I should have been more clear. I'm talking about the outside hatch knobs.

Thank you anyway

The clips on the exterior panel are also 1/4 turn. Be careful when you close the panel. If the clips don't go back in the latch hole just right they can bend and no longer work. They seem excessively delicate to me. I carry a few replacements with me.

Those things are a bad design, subject to failure without the the application of great care and caution.
It would be a pretty simple fix to replace them with DZUS fasteners...

Below are a couple of examples....

Or make replacements from aluminum or steel.

Thank you WDavidG I was standing in a rainstorm trying to turn on my frige at the RV site.. you saved me. I may not have been so careful without your warning as I was getting frustrated. Maiden voyage with my Scamp turned out just fine.

Thanks for this Floyd. Not sure how they would mount on the panel, but I'll look into them further. I'd love to eliminate the plastic clips
