Boler 17' Ceiling/Vent

We have started looking for replacement 14 x 14 vents for our 1980 17'Boler. Anyone know how thick the ceiling is? I don't want to take it out until we have a new one. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Thank you!

The replacement of the 14 x 14 inch vent is just that a normal vent. It is best if you can do the job and a nice day, not to hot and not to cool. I have replace both of mine and had little difficulty, but did them in an enclosed shelter. Less pressure to get it done quickly in case of bad weather. The only issue that you have to worry about is when you install a Fanatasic Fan vent system. The you have to ask for a thinner insert piece but the regular ones fit fine. Make sure you use butyl tap and not putty. Take you time.

Thank you Greg for the tips! We are in Vancouver and its raining as per usual, we are putting tarp up for shelter and installing 1 regular vent and the other a fan. We are looking for other options to Fantastic Fan to save on price. We are also considering MaxxFan or Shurflo. Plus I found Vintage Trailer Supply and they carry all sorts to neat gadgets! Placed my first order a couple of days ago so lots more but simpler projects coming up. Have you heard of them?
