Hello all.

We are looking to buy a Boler very soon. We live in Ann Arbor, Michigan and we are only finding Bolers for sale in Canada. Has anyone bought a Boler in Canada and registered/insured it in the US? We are looking for someone who has had some experience with this process and can answer some questions.

Thank you.

Joel,
We purchased a Bigfoot 5th wheel last August in Edmonton, Alberta, and live in Washington State. That proved to be quite an experience and we will not repeat it. Short story is that we were very lucky to get our Bigfoot across the border after a long delay.. BUT, here is the good part, my understanding is that coming from Canada to the USA with a trailer, if it is 25 years old and older- no problem with the proper paperwork proving that you are the new owner. Our Bigfoot was only 21 years old, big problems. It didn't have the US federal RV regulations DOT proper sticker on it since it was built in Canada and stayed in Canada for it whole life up to last August.
Our Canadian friends tell us for them to bring a trailer from the USA to Canada the magic number is 15 years old and older- no problem with proper paperwork proving ownership. Is the Boler that you are interested in at least 25 years old? If so, not problem. Anyway, that is that shortened version of our long and detailed story.
Good Luck,
Deb & Chuck
