Boler Closet Bottom

This may be a strange question - but has anyone ever taken the bottom out of their closet? Is there any space between the wheel well and the closet front?

I use the space as a cold air sump, air intake, and condendation drain for my air conditioner.

I have seen one the ised the space to hold a wine cabinet.

Boler Closet Bottom

On my 73 Boler there is no closet floor. What I see is the molding for the wheel. I have about 2 inches between the wheel and the closet wall. There is also about 1 inch on the left side that tapers wider up to the top of the wheel well. I use the space for things like toilet chemicals, gloves, and bug stuff. I just put them in zip lock bags and all is well. You have me thinking that putting a removable floor might be a good thing, I seldom use the stuff under there.

When I added shelves to my 1974 Boler 13 (since sold), I included a removable shelf with a thumb hole in it directly on top of the wheel well.

I set my shelf just above the wheel well. I wasn't concerned about the lost bit of space

Closet bottom

I too put a wooden plate over the wheel well top to stop stuff from falling down there!

Our '74 boler didn't have a floor in the closet so I put one in.
I used the space for our dog's dishes, sweater and leash, works perfect!
