Boler Painting Recommendations in Vancouver, Canada
Hello all,
We are looking for quotes on a professional paint job for our 13 ft. Boler. Does anyone have a recommendation. I had posted something last year where there was a response referencing someone near us that does Boler work but I cannot locate this thread and not sure if this site keeps all old threads.
Thanks for your time.

Have you checked the Boler.ca group on Facebook? I just did a search and found the following recommendations in the Lower Mainland:
- Tom's Auto Body in Maple Ridge
- Darren Emmerson 360 Fabrication in Abbotsford
- Jim Alward in Surrey - (778) 858-3202 / marinerefinishing@gmail.com
I had priced it out for mine a while back and with the fibreglass repair and prep it was going to be about $6000 so I decided to do it myself :-)

In my area, its similar to getting a car painted, except it uses a lot more paint. $5,000 to $7,500 here. And to do it right, all windows, hatches and vents should be removed first, then reinstalled properly afterwards.
From what I have seen, car places don’t understand window installation.

Repainted our triple E for 2k
We found a guy on the Sunshine Coast who did it for 2k. Sanded, primed and painted in his shop. Took about a month. All in all happy with the work, it’s not perfect but the price was.

Painting a 13 ft boler
Hello all,
I have found a company in Surrey B.C. that just finished painting out Boler. We did the prep work which they will explain how....grit etc.. It took us approximately 12 hours each two people but we did have fiberglass work to complete. With a palm sander it isn't difficult just time. Cost of paint job was $3000. The company is Corvette Specialties. It was difficult to find anyone willing to do the work. No boat repair companies etc.. I had one quote of $9000 if I did the prep work so we were happy to find this company. I told them I was going to post this so be prepared for trailer owners reaching out.

We have only one place with bay big enough to take our boler in and have it gelcoat sprayed in our area. Just prior to start of pandemic was quoted $4000 if i did the prep work prior to paint job. Or we could go with self spray $280 gallon pre-waxed, thinned to spray, pre-colour mixed to match original colour min size 1 gallon cans, plus spray equipment.

Hi I am in Vancouver. I purchased a Boler that was refurbished in 2020. Paint is peeling off and got a small crack in a spot. Could you share with me where or who did your work on the Sunshine Coast. I have been quoted a lot of money and I live in an apartment with limited work space. I am in North Van but can travel.

There are probably a 1000 people in the lower mainland with small shops that could do the work.
Challenge is to find them.
Auto events, swap meets, etc.
Really all that's needed is a 20x20 garage a few tools, material and knowledge. That can achieve showcar results.
If you find someone like that get references though.
Good luck on your quest!

Where did you do your prep work? I live in an apartment so that is my current downfall as I have no indoor space to work on it.

Haven’t Had it done yet. I am going to get it sodablasted. I will probably use a paint booth in Chilliwack.
