Boler Serial Numbers.

Does anyone know how the serial numbers work for Bolers made in Winnipeg. My son's Boler was made in Winnipeg in 1971 and has a serial number in the 600 range, but his friend has a Boler made in Winnipeg that says it is a Model B130 B and a Serial number of 34 0126 and no year is listed on the build sheet stuck on the inside closet door. We are trying to figure out what year it was manufactured. The outside serial number plate is missing.

You may have to estimate the year by comparing serial numbers of other Bolers from the same factory. I have a 1976 built in Winnipeg,
Model # 130-A-S and Serial # 360072 .

My Boler has two stickers with different dates, one next to the door shows March 15, 1976 (maybe the date sold?) and the sticker on the service side shows Nov. 1975, probably the actual build date. I don't know how many were built each year but I'd guess that yours was 1974 or earlier. Hope that helps, maybe others with Winnipeg Bolers can help narrow it down further.

Ya I was thinking the first 2 digits were month and year of manufacture and the last 4 were the actual one built that year. So 34 would be March 1974 and 0126 would be the 126th built that year.

Will see what others say before we run with my theory.

This is the picture of my middle cupboard door of the inside. The right door also has a label of the same info in French. My boler also has the aluminum nameplate on the top front and rear of the trailer

Rene I would say it was built in March of 1974 from all the research I have done.
