Boler Water System Questions

Hi. I've been making good progress on my 1977 Boler (17ft), but I'm having some trouble with the water system.

I've hooked the city water up to our garden hose and lightly opened it. I closed a valve on the water heater that was clearly open and now the system seems pressurized. The shower and toilet seem to work just fine.

When I turned the sink on it purged all the air was in the lines and a little water came out.... but now nothing happens. When I turn the tap on I get nothing. Is there a valve or something that I'm missing?

Also, can the fresh water tank be filled using the city water line, or only via the separate fill line. Just curious about that one.

Ok. I've made no progress with this at all and I'm pretty stumped. I've searched high and low for a valve or something, but I have found nothing that will make the faucets work.

Maybe some pictures will help?

This is what I'm looking at. Heat exchange which feeds the faucets:

And the controls for the heat exchange outside:


That's kinda all I've got to go on. The only thing I haven't done is filled the fresh water holding tank. Is it possible that the faucets would only work off that?

Again the shower and toilet work just fine as is.

I'm sorry you're not seeing any answers yet. I have questions about water supply in my Lil'Bigfoot, so am watching this thread. Good luck with your issue!

Remove the aerator on the end of the kitchen faucet, it just unscrews. There is a small screen in there and it often gets plugged with sediment from the hot water tank. Try running the water with the aerator off, if that works just flush out the lines and reinstall the screen.

That was it. I knew it had to be something simple that I was overlooking. This obviously explains why the shower and toilet were still working.
