Hi,

I need to purchase a good 3 stage charger for my trailer. Crappy tire has a bunch of different ones including this one on sale

Any thoughts on that charger or on any of the other 'intelligent' chargers then have?
List of chargers

I kind of have a rule to never buy anything at crappy unless it's on sale so would like to determine the charger and then watch for it to do a 50% sale =)

Hey, what's up, Eh? Neither of your links worked...I just go to a Canadian Tire screen asking for a postal code in French and some foreign language. Is there some sort of waiver that I need to pay to view EhLand sites?

I prefer the Vector line of chargers.

One thing I have learned about mine is that it just shows error codes if I hook it to a dead battery, but I also learned that if I keep cycling it on it will stuf enough charge in to eventually start charging.

I just tried both links and they worked ok.

I tried them with both Firefox and IE7; just the postal code screen. The site apparently works, but it won't take me to details. Here's where I go:

Maybe you guys are logged in and I don't have the biscuits I need?

"The problem with this charger is that it will not charge a battery if it is completely dead. If a battery has no charge in it the charger will not recognize that a battery is hooked up and will not charge it. So you need to chargers if you have a completely dead battery - one to give the battery a little charge and this one. Better just to buy a charger that doesn't have this safety function that prevents you from charging the completely dead battery."

Doh, sorry about that. You can't directly link to crappy tire products anymore - they have that silly postal code nag screen. Try using V0R1S0.

To those citizens who don't have Canadian Tires, is like a hardware version of Walmart. Canadian Tire is a bit expensive in general, but it's sales on it's own brands (some of which are pretty good) can be incredible values.

Booker, the links provided worked fine for me & your post about "Krappy Tyre" further instills in me the fact that you do (in fact) live in B.C.

I've never heard C/T referred to as that by anyone outside B.C!!!!

You might wanna look up something under Battery Tenders OUTSIDE Canadian Junk website, LOL!!!

Hey, that user comment was exactly what I found with my Vector. I wonder who made the CT charger? Vector is now owned by Black and Decker.

http://www.battery-rechargeable-charger.co...r-products.html

Wally carries them at better prices than this site, but some stores carry Schmacher instead.

I still have some CT$ somewhere, plus some Coop$ from the Maritimes.

Canadian Tire is large enough that it does get other companies to make products for it and then rebrands them. I have seen that in on other items at their store.

Out of curiosity, I went back to the Welcome page, and put in my postal code but it rejected it. So I lied and used the example code. Got some Motomaster chargers.
