Check light

My check light has been coming on.

I have plenty of propane.

It happens intermittently. It was working fine for many weeks. And just started giving me trouble a few days ago.

Any ideas? Camper is reasonably level.

You're talking about the refrigerator?

Does your fridge have a circuit board?

There are a few troubleshooting guides for fridges in the document centre.

Unplug from shore power, test and report back.

A marginal battery or a poor connection somewhere toward the battery will allow a lot of AC ripple on the 12 volt side of your electrical system. Unplugging from shore power will eliminate the AC ripple and your 'fridge might work properly.

Keep us posted.

Is this in our Bigfoot Camper? I know one summer when I was using my brothers the fridge check light came on and it was due to the camper not being completely level. Another occasion it was due to a low battery.

I have not been plugged into AC power since may. My 12V side has no ripple. The batteries are new and strong.

I'm going to check the vent for bugs. Maybe something is blocking the exhaust. I'll remove the cover for the burner and inspect that also.

It has been working well parked here and at greater slopes than this. I have blocks under the wheels and have no obvious tilt on the inside.

I moved it recently to dump my tanks. So you may be right. I'll try moving it Carol. It is worth trying.
