Cleaning Scamp rat fur

Hi, all. The rat fur at the bottom of my 1992 Scamp door is very dirty. What should I use to clean it?
Thanks,

Cleaned mine with spray-on carpet spot cleaner and a damp cloth. Wait for the cleaner to do its thing, then blot, don’t rub, and rinse rag often in clean water. Repeat if needed. When completely dry, vacuum gently.

Thanks, Jon. I’ll try that. :-)

I have seen some who just painted or dyed the bottom four or five inches of the door bottom rat fur black.

Meguiar’s Carpet and Upholstery Cleaner offers a professional-strength cleaning foam with deep cleaning power to remove stains and odors. It’s easy to use thanks to a fast-acting foam, which quickly breaks down stains in your carpet. This formula dries quickly and doesn’t leave behind a sticky residue.
My Casita door was black-after Meguiar's it was brand new!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have the same problem except the stains are in several places on the ceiling. Has anyone cleaned the whole headliner? Any ideas would be great.

I also have little black spots on my Casita ceiling. They all appeared at the same time. I suspect I had splashed drops of food that splashed up there? The day they appeared I was in a hot and humid spot and maybe they mildewed? No smell of mildew and there isn’t a particle of food to dislodge from these spots. Has this happened to other Casita folks? How to clean?

For the whole thing:

Our Scamp was a teenager when we bought it. It was well taken care of, but also well used.

My daughter took a handheld carpet steamer and steamed the entire rat fur surface in our 19. It was like night and day.

We are in a dry climate and ran the fan to get lots of airflow after the steam. I would be careful in a more humid climate and may rely more on spot cleaning.

Thanks Kieth, that is the solution I was thinking about. Good to know someone has done it already.
