Compact jr logo

Still in the process of "restoring" my '72
Compact Jr. It still has the plastic "Compact Jr" logos pop-riveted to each side. The plastic panels have raised lettering which is painted red and very faded. The panels themselves are the original tan/beige color of the unit. Other than a very steady hand and an artist's brush, does anyone know of a slick and easy way to "re-new" the surface of the lettering?

Almost any sign shop should be able to restore those for you with the right paint that will last anther 40 years.

Were it me, and the condition was real bad; I would take a hi res digital pic of it, go to a sign shop that does digital to plastic imaging, and have them create new stick-on decals of the right color and size. Should be easy-peasy with photoshop and the printer/materials they use for car and bus wraps.

This is easy for me to say because: a) I don't have a Compact Jr. and, b) on my Compact-II the original logo was a decal.

My Compact Jr's logo was merely a decal. I went to our Document Center, and found:
Fiberglass RV
> Downloads
>> Trailer Brand Manufacturer
>>> Compact | Hunter Industries

Fiberglass RV - Document Center - Compact Jr Logo

I sent an email to my favorite sign shop with that scalable document as an attachment, and indicated the dimensions I wanted. He referenced his color palette where I chose a color, and I ordered a set of 4 decals for my restoration.

Sign shop

There just happens to be one of the franchise sign shops a few blocks away from my house. I will be contacting them soon for options. Thanx, folks.
