Some of the power came back ON in Chelan last night, but shortly afterwards the only working cell tower's back-up
generator ran out of LP, and it's on top of the Butte, right in the middle of the initial fire zone.
As of 2PM the power was on in about 80% of the houses, one cell tower is back up, and the optical communication system is back up. But there is still active fire uplake and east of town.
Judith was interviewed today by the Seattle FOX affiliate so I will have to bite down hard and watch FOX news tonight (LOL... Please)
The request for AU and NZ assistance is per a reciprocal agreement. We send firefighters down there when they are dealing with huge range fires. Right now there are no spare fire fighting resources in the entire western U.S.
