Covering wood screws sticking out

In our new Scamp, we noticed several places where wood screws were sticking out. One place is under the overhang beneath the refrigerator, where we plan to keep our shoes. We got little bumpers that are for putting behind picture frames or under stereo equipment, etc. and I turned them clockwise on the end of the screw and essentially screwed it on until it reached the wood. The photo is what I used.

Can you access the screw heads and put in shorter screws so they don't come through the other side?

It didn't look like it and we didn't want to mess with screws already installed in the wood. This worked great, so thought I'd share.

That seems like a good approach. My method was to grind the ends of the screws off with my Dremel Moto Tool. This works even if you can't get to the screws to replace them with ones of the proper length.
