Hello all, this is my first post and I am new to the
fiberglass trailer world, but excited to get my hands dirty and rely on experience and expertise rather than learning the hard way, which is why I am posting. My wife and I bought our 2000 16’
scamp about a year ago and I am now making time to fix her up. I am starting with the exterior and frame needs. so two questions:
1: I have some “spider cracks” above the left side of the door and from other posts think it is maybe something with the frame? But not sure. Here are some photos. A previous owner also installed a piece of metal at the bottom right hand corner of the door, not sure why though.
2: overall frame condition: it looks like it was coated some time ago and needs to be sanded and coated again, but there is a place that has some flaking, on the opposite side of the door though.
Any help on which direction to go it with the above two issues would be much appreciated.
