dehumidifer

:wave I have the picture in my digital camera, just got to get it out of there, one benefit of the dehumidifier operating in the casita is it does generate heat, outside temp this morning 45 and temp in casita with dehumidifier operating was 65.looked liked it removed about 2 qts of water,is that water good for refilling batteries?:o I,m going to see what the wattage is and figure what it cost to operate 24hrs.but right now i,m going to work on that picture!!!:chased

in the shower

Some of these little trailers have on off levers on the shower drain. I don't remember which ones, but if yours does you better open it when you run the dehumidifer or it might run out on the floor.

dehumidifer

:wave the dehumidifer has a 2 gallon reservior holding tank before it runs out into the shower base, and the shower drain valve is open now.It pulls 6.2 amps x 120volts =7440 watts and wattage is what you pay for,my rate here is .o53 per kwh. so that is about.40 cents per operating hour. after it gets the air in the casita dried,it should,t operate no more than 2 or 3 hours per day while stored. the dehumidifer also is generating some heat while it is operating. Will still drain tank and blow out lines and add antifreeze, just to be safe.I think I,ll go watch the news before i try to get those pictures out of this digital camera. It says (kodak multi-card reader)EASY PICTURE TRANSFER_NO ADAPTER NEEDED,I.ve still got the receit !!!!!:sad Iwish there was a spelling checker on here.:red

dehumidifier

:wave here is our house size dehumidifer setting in shower,we have <img src=http://www.fiberglassrv.com/board/uploads/3e86410b79b9adehumidifer.JPG/> 120vac on carport where I park her(lets roll) .like for her to be close,I am surprised as how much water it pulls out.weather has a lot to do with the volumn of water, but I would guess1 gallon a week:feet I have been in and out of casita adding the hi-mount lamp and wiring for a back-up lamp,so that has added a lot of cold moist air,Now that those two jobs are done the humidifer should't need to operate as much!If I could just walk by her and not open the door to see how she is doing out there by herself would help:wub

Dehumidifier water

I wouldn't reccomend using the water from your dehumidifier for your batteries. Battery water should be distilled only. The water from dehumidifiers is usually contaminated by the metals that leach off the fins of the dehumidifier evaporater.
I have gone one step further and now use a gel battery- no water, no mtce. , and best of all --- it can't leak !!!
