DIY on a fridge?

RV dealer service shops are so busy with their own customers, I can’t get in to get the motherboard replaced on my Dometic fridge.
If I can get the part, would any handy person familiar with electronics be able to switch it out, or should I leave it to the professionals?

Check dinosaur rv parts, pretty sure they have instructions, it’s not hard, you should be able to manage, just take your time, all connectors are push on or screw on generally

Circuit Board?

Hi Ruth,

I agree with Joe. Board replacement is quite simple.
To help make sure you get it right take a photo of the
board installation before removing the old board.
That way you have a handy reference to look at when
reinstalling the board. You might also label the wires
with numbers before taking the photo.

Good Luck!

I checked dinosaur parts, and they are almost half the price of the local RV part! I think I’m up for the challenge.
Thanks, guys. You’re the best!

Outcome?

Hi Ruth,

Good on you for doing it yourself. Please let us know
about your experience getting the new board installed and working.
