Do you have a spare 1979 Trillium 1500 Door mechanism

Hello. We own a 1979 Trillium 1500. Last fall our door latch failed and we had to complete the trip using duct tape when towing the trailer. Anyone have a spare door mechanism? Specifically, we need one with a complete latch. Our latch has splintered.

Is it a Bargman L 400?

I did a search of old posts and found this, (it looks like a long way around to replace it)

Door replacement for Trillium 4500

Thanks for your reply. We need a door replacement part for a Trillium. The Boler is an ancestor with a wee bit different configuration.

Door lock

Looks like a Bargman L400 which if you can find one, is usually over $400 since they have not been made in ages. You can get L400 repair kits for cheaper but still $$$. Anything else needs fiberglass work. I changed to the camping treasures one listed above and it’s great. Otherwise EBay, Kijiji, etc are your best bet.
Ps. Bolers used the same locking system for years.

This, the Bargman L400 was used on many vintage trailers including Airstreams. They haven’t been made in decades, but they routinely show up on eBay for around $400, less if they are not in great shape.

When I had my 1977 Trillium, I had several spares “just in case” that I paid up for. Once the trailer moved on, I sold those spares on eBay.
