Dometic Refrigerator - Not Staying Closed

The latch worked fine for a couple of years, but now doesn't.

It was an easy fix. There is a slotted screw on the top hinge. Take the screw out. The door will lift up and out at that point.

The bottom sits on a pin that screws into the bottom bracket. Just place a couple of washers on the pin. Reinstall the door and it should work fine..

Sounds like you're having a conversation with yourself here. Your point being what? Your header says the door doesn't stay closed, and then you say it now works fine? Which is it?

Maybe I read this post differently, but I gathered Huck was just trying to provide a fix for others who may have a similar problem.

I use good old fashioned white duct to keep my refrigerator door closed while traveling.

My point is that for people who aren't real handy, if they run into this problem it is an easy fix. They don't have to pay someone to fix it.

True Huck, but your "fix" only applies to certain fridge models.

As was mentioned above, there are many different fridges out there and many different mounting variations, even within a given manufacturer's various model offerings. Not all have the same door mounting configurations, (mine, for one, is totally different from yours just as an example.) The mounting hardware, its removal and installation procedures differ with all the various RV fridges. There really isn't a "one size-fits all" for these things. Just a heads up. But glad you were able to get it fixed.
