Dometic RM 2201 freezer door...

Hi All,

I'm curious if anyone here would know where I could source a freezer door for my Dometic RM 2201 3 Way fridge? One of the small tangs from the clip arrangement that is part of the "hinge" on this door has broken off. I will be trying to repair it but it is such that I'm not sure the repair will hold. The tangs pinch over a small rod the runs the height of the door. Thanks.

Larry

This is the freezer door from my RM 2201. I have repaired , I think, the two little clips that hold the door onto the rod at the side of the freezer. I have to let it set-up for 24 hours before trying it out on the fridge freezer compartment. Sorry the pics are a little fuzzy, my phone is not the best.

did U use super glue ? I use super glue on many things. to add some bulk to a bond, U can get gel, if what U have done holds; OK. I test it on a spot to see if it bonds to the plastic, a chemical reaction. I have taken a piece of plastic and glued it beside an existing broken piece to give it more working surface. ( structural integrity ).

Thanks for the reply Kenny. I'm using a two part epoxy and I will reinforce the back part of the tangs before trying to install it.
