Door hinges \ lock for Trillium

A newbie to this site but a proud owner of a 1977 Trillium 4500. We want to change the outside door hinges and get a new door handle\lock. Can anyone offer any suggestions to help?
Thanks.

The hinge is a kason 139 with a 3/8" offset. Years ago I bought spares from McMaster Carr

But in Canada you might try these folks.

The door lock is a Bargman L300. No longer made and very expensive on eBay. You might try cleaning what you've got.

It is actually an L400, on a 4500, and post 1977 1300's. The change on the 1300's happened somewhere between serial numbers 5121 and 5622. There is a rather large gap in the list.

I have seen them advertised for $800 cdn.
This one is "only" $500 cdn:

This one is being sold by one of our members for $400 cdn. In Calgary too. I should give OJ a call:

If you plan to replace the door latch with something else, then maybe take a look a these threads:

David..
Thanks for the info.. But if it's a L300 on a 1975 Trillium, will the same Trimark work as a replacement??

These are hand made. I'm pretty sure the aluminum cover plate could be made to any size at minimum added cost. I just won't be as plug and play as the standard one, some fitting will be required on your side.

Chris, I am sorry to say that there is no compatible replacement. Phillip is correct in that the procedure to install a Trimark latch in the hole of an L300 should be similar to the L400 procedure. Basically cover the larger hole with a plate that has a cut out for the new latch.

This company claims to have a replacement for an L300:

Maybe also look at these threads:

I hope that helps.

David.. Thanks for clearing this up for me.. While my forte is wood, I do have some experience shaping aluminum and will give it a try when needed ;-)
