Drove thu CRAP!
Someone emptied there black tank while at a red light today. My truck and camper was the first to drivee thru the crap. Bought hose and nozzle and spent 2 hours cleaning.
The truck still stinks. The stuff dried on my truck and camper by the time I could clean it.
Any ideas what chemicals to use. You can smell the truck down wind.
After scubbing the truck I took it to a car wash. $25 for max clean and I went thru twice. It did not help.

Can't recommend any chemicals. Sounds like undercarriage PRESSURE washing would help. Problem is you would have to buy another piece of equipment or find a place that offers that service. Maybe a Trucking service center.

I got stuck driving behind, and eventually, through a cattle drive, and it took multiple high pressure washings to get rid of the smell...

My first try would be tomato juice. Does a Good job when my dog gets skunked.

That's horrible. While I haven't encountered human waste, I have encountered manure, typically left by a spreader travelling between the farm and a field. Usually a good rain storm solves the problem. Here in the salt belt, car washes provide an undercarriage wash at extra cost. If I had your problem, thats what I would try.

Oh my. I knew that several States are reputed to have $#!++¥ roads but this puts a whole new perspective on things. Reminds me of a magazine story I read many, many years ago in a bicycling magazine. The author was riding on a rather hot day and saw a puddle on the road. When he went through it he got splashed, cooling him a bit. So as he continued along, he kept encountering similar puddles and intentionally ran through them all. Then, a couple of miles down the road was the biggest puddle of all forming underneath a stopped septic pumper that had a leaking dump valve. I chuckled then, but this is unfortunate, not humorous.

I agree...pressure wash or heavy rain would be best.....another option.....put a cloth pin on your nose......got to ask.....did people see this guy at the red light get out...open his valve and drive off?

Cleaning crap
I second sharon_b's suggestion. Get an enzymatic cleaner. Zep makes good ones, available at Home Depot & such. I actually prefer the one listed as a carpet cleaner & have used it to remove blood from fabrics & stinks from all kinds of things.

If you hand wash, a bucket of Hot Water + ½to1 cup of Dawn + 1 cup of BIZ (enzyme cleaner) would be my choice.

First try liquid laundry soap. About 1/2 water. Next get some micro-blaze. Borrow. About an ounce per quart. Spray well. Let sit. Repeat as needed.

It's water soluble. If it weren't, you'd be full of it.

Thanks, everyone. I used a power washer & lots of cleaning material. Now I am fine until the next RV adventure.
