Ensolite

I need to replace some ensolite in a 1976 13 ft scamp. One section has water damage and I'm not sure how to fix it. Can anyone tell me where to buy the ensolite and a type of glue to use?

You can't get it with the white vinyl facing. You can get it unfaced or with a black facing. Here are a few links:

https://www.foammart.com/p-456-ensolite.aspx

Not sure about the glue. You should be able to find a thread or 12 by searching the forums.

water damage?

Can you post a photo of the "water damage"? Someone here may post a method for repairing it. Ensolite is extremely tough and impervious to water.

Ensolite

Whatever Escape uses has a white(ish) vinyl top layer. You could contact them, or perhaps an Escape owner knows the specific product. It is smooth, however, unlike the pebbly texture of the original Ensolite. Unfortunate, an exact replacement is no longer available.

You might cut a piece from a hidden area to make your repair. Then patch the hidden area with a different product.

I believe contact cement is commonly used to glue it, but Alex's suggestion of a search is good. Use the "Site Search/Google" at the bottom of the search menu for best results.

Some people have used 3M brand spray adhesive used mostly for automotive headliners and such. Worth looking into...

3M77 is not strong enough. I have even heard of a few heat-related failures with 3M90.

If it's the same material as in my '74 boler, water may stain it but it can be cleaned. I have no experience painting it but many have with excellent results.
As to glue, I have scraped it away from shell in several areas in the course of different projects and just used run of the mill contact cement with great results.
This mod is 5 years old, glue still good

If you call or email 3M they can point you to the correct adhesive. I've used them several times over the years and got good advice.
