I recently purchased a 1985 Esterel trailer. The former owner butchered the surge brakes and removed the cables. Is there any source of parts for these trailers in the USA?

Though I'm not familiar with the Esterel, I do know that most of our trailers used the parts made by other manufacturers. The key to finding the right parts is to find out who made the surge brakes to start with. My understanding is there is only a few makers of surge brakes in North America.

Try They have a large selection of trailer brakes and brake parts including surge brakes.
It's not an RV store so the prices are usually more reasonable.
