Extra Insulation and Interior Fiberglass pieces

When I redo the interior of my boler 13 footer I was thinking of increasing the thickness of the ensolite. I found a place where I can get un-faced ensolite so I was thing of putting an extra layer under the elephant skin layer. My question to you would be has anyone increased the insulation thickness and kept the fiberglass cabinets/closet/seats? If yes, how did you remount them, over the insulation that was thicker than the old or did you just create custom ones? I was thinking of adding an extra layer of the same thickness as the elephant hide so I was hoping I could just remount the cabinets, closet, seats etc without having to reduce the thickness back to original.
