Fantastic Fan for a Boler 1979

Hi!
We just bought a Boler last week. It's in pretty good shape but need some maintenance. The first one, is the replacement of the vent on the roof.

We are reading in this site and all over the net and we think that a Fantastic Fan is the best for us. But we want to know if it's necessary to have a fan which rotates in both sens...

If you are the ower of a little egg like mine, what kind of fan did you install ?

Thank's a lot !

I've had several Eggs and the first upgrade has been a two way Fantastic Fan.
The exhaust is great for quickly sucking out any cooking orders or heat. If you install it over the bed it's great for a little breeze on a hot night.

I got the 5000 model so I would have the thermostat feature, thinking it would be good if we had the leave the dog alone at some time. I shopped hard and found it on eBay for less than a 4000 at the RV dealer. I also installed a resistor and switch effectively making it 6 speeds. The purpose of the resistor is to provide a very gentle low speed, as the fan is so powerful.

The 4000r is the one I have used and it's been great.
Shop ebay and you may find it less expensive than an RV store.

Thank's.
We shop ebay for many things... maybe for the fan... The price is really low! But we are a little worried about the warranty...

Fantastic Fan has the greatest customer I've ever seen.
I think if you ever had a problem they would take care of you.
