Fantastic reseal on 2018 Bigfoot RB

Well as the subject suggests, it looks like it's time to reseal my Fantastic Fan on my Bigfoot. :/ I would have thought these seals would last longer than 2.5 years but as was pointed out to me on Facebook, sitting in the sun all day every day can take it's toll.

Per Julie's (and other's on FB suggestion), I'm going to reseal it with this:

Hope this job doesn't turn out to be too bad.

I'm going to answer myself here since after posting I found some info. I found an interview from Grant in 2018 where he answered my exact question about the roof sealing. https://www.truckcampermagazine.com/...5c10-4-review/
Here is what he said:

Quote:
Most RV manufacturers use self-leveling sealants. We use an Alkaliyd based sealant called Plas-T-Cote (now made by Hengs). We tape it off the roof and brush it on. That’s why our roof seals have clean lines. We have used Plas-T-Cote on our roofs forever. With Plasti-Cote, you can’t miss anything. If you need to maintain it down the road, you can get it through RV centers. Before application, clean the area with soap, water, and a nylon brush. You want all the dirt removed. Then tape it off and apply Plast-Cote liberally with a 2-inch brush.
If you need to remove the existing Plasti-Cote, use a putty knife and scrape it off. Then clean the area as described above, and reapply. We like to have a small cardboard box with us so we can easily dispose of the masking tape and it helps keep it nice and clean.
The Plas-t-cote is not for rubber roofs. It’s only meant for roofs with hard surfaces. For fiberglass campers, it’s an excellent product.

Thank you, Jon. Nice input on this. Do you know which specific product from Heng's was used, by chance? There are the elastomeric polymer and the fibered metal/fiberglass coatings to choose from. Latter of the 2?

Trouble getting into Heng's web site, but found this:

I have used this in the past....worked well and very easy to apply.
Came in a one gallon quantity if I remember correctly.
