Fiberglass Repair

So sad....backed into my metal garage door and put a gash in the right back end of my Casita near the roof. It may be about an eighth of an inch deep and five inches long. I can live with the memory, but wondering it it will cause a stress fracture if not repaired. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I don't think anyone could make an assessment of the damage w/o a photo, but you could easily fix it and not worry. Go to a boating store and get Marine-Tex, about $15. It's white and easy to use.

You could also use this available at most local hardware stores if there is no boat stores near you...

PC Products PC-11 1 lb. Paste Epoxy-160114 - The Home Depot

I have used it and it works great, very strong easy to work with and sandable.

Both of those epoxies are available on Amazon and the Marine-Tex is also available at Ace Hardware among other places. Good stuff.
