Last week in Yellowstone our Dometic RM 2193 fridge quit working so we turned it off and went to our cooler.
Tried 3 days later still did not work on 12 volt or propane. We got home and I plugged the Scamp in and yesterday turned on to 110 volts the fridge got cool but not cold I am thinking that the flue tube needs to be cleaned , how hard is that to do ? or of anyone has any other ideas as to the problem.
Thanks the Grateful Angler

How long was the fridge on 110 volts? Sometimes it takes a long time to come up to temperture I'd leave it plugged in for a couple of days and check the freezer for frost.
Here is a link to some repair manuals they might help they also sell parts and cooling units.

In our Document Center, we have a manual for the RM2193: Installation and Operating Instructions

Hopefully you'll find something that will help

Thanks for your help.
I did take the fridge out and cleaned the flue and gas jet.
I also talked to some fridge people and they advised to turn the unit upside down for 12-24 hours before i reinstalled .
Will let all know the results.

www.RVMobile.com has a wealth of general info on fridges. You really have to watch for 'Level'

My fridge also quit working completely, this year. After buying a new cooler and a load of ice, I finally got around to removing it this week and let it sit upside down for a couple of days. Today I righted it and connected the power cord to an outlet in the garage. on checking it after about four hours I found that the freezer section was very cold. So now I will finish cleaning the propane burner and reinstall the unit into the trailer and then test it on 12v and on propane.
Many thanks for the heads up.
Jim

After removing the fridge and turning it up side down for 24 hours, reinstalled and the unit has never worked better also added insulation around the fridge when reinstalled.

Thanks so much for the info on this guys.
My fridge has not been working for two seasons and I thought, after 30 years, it was toast.
After looking at the manual in the doc center I pulled the unit out and fipped it upside down overnight - and oh yes it's working now.
Who'd of thought it.
