full frame off resto: removal of nasty wall upholstry

'73 compact hunter: any suggestions on removing the bordello like foam backed diamond terrible stuff on the walls? been picking, scraping etc. ......tetious!

skipping any material like product on the walls. spraying with lizard skin, then temperature skin, then rhino liner like product (only lighter). prime and choose any color i like from home depot!

also, any thoughts on marine ply for the floor?

thanks
john

Use a multi tool with a scraper blade. Then on tougher pieces you can use a blade with teeth once you get a feel for it. Then a twisted wire brush on a 4-4.5" grinder is best for dried up brittle glue.
No need for marine plywood A or B-C will do fine. Coat both sides with epoxy Resin (Two coats should do.) and once you drill the holes coat the raw wood with epoxy. If you have a Compact II you should have a big hole in the bottom of the shell. I like that better than a solid shell floor. It lets the moisture out.
