When I set up camp I usually have to
light the stove burners, then the furnace to purge the gas line so the
fridge lights easily. Once the furnace
lights and stay lit for a few seconds I turn it off. You might consider doing something like this. It helps keep the lines full of
propane and lets me know the furnace is working, even if I don't need it at the time.
