furnace won't kick on

I have a 2009 Trillium. Just checked on my egg after winter storage and the furnace, which has always worked, won't turn on. With the battery powered on, propane engaged , and the thermostat clicking when I hit 70 degrees...normally the furnace engages but I get nothing. I hit the reset button on the furnace and nothing. My carbon dioxide alarm is engaged as well. What I am I forgetting to get the furnace to power on?

You might try making sure there is gas in the lines by firing up the stove for a few minutes.

I am betting on a thermocouple not expensive to fix at all!

The Suburban furnace in my 2008 Scamp is electronic ignition- no thermocouple- and I'm going to guess yours is, too. Might want to post the make and model of your unit for more specific troubleshooting steps, since it appears it's not something simple you've overlooked.

The only times didn't get my 2006 Suburban furnace to come one I was out of propane or so low that there wasn't enough pressure, the other it too warm and I needed to turn the thermostat up.

Don't forget to check for dirt, spider cobwebs, and possibly even mud dauber nests in the orifice and venturi. Critters can, and do, sometimes move in and take up residence. They're attracted to the smell.

We had the same problem last Winter. It turned out that our original battery had enough juice to turn on lights but not enough to get the furnace running. A new battery resolved the issue. We previously had to replace the original thermostat because the internal spring crapped out on us. We were able to temporarily use the furnace by removing the faceplate on the thermostat and clipping the spring into the "on" position when heat was wanted (kind of inconvenient in the middle of the night, but doable).

I have had a situation where the gas was low, the stove top would light but the furnace wouldn't.
