Hi All,

My husband put on a new 7pin connector on our trailer, consequently got our trailer's driving lights working properly. But ever since, the fuse under the front bunk keeps blowing randomly. Anyone have any ideas what could be causing this?

I couldn't find anything specific when I searched archives.

Thanks!

Hello Tirah

Does your trailer have a battery? If so, which wire is connected to the positive wire? For some reason unknown to me, the black wire is POSITIVE in our Scamps.

Also, have your husband check his work against the Scamp wiring diagram listed in the document center located on the left side of your screen.

Please let us know if this helps or not.

Is the fuse too small for the application?

I would NEVER recommend going to a larger fuse to keep it from blowing.. they are a certain size for a reason, to keep things from frying..

BUT .... you can put one in thats too small as well, say.. a 10 amp where the draw is intended to be 20. The fuse will blow as soon as you start to draw heavy with whatever it is you are fusing.
