Gasket around door opening.

I am still having a problem finding gasket material that fits my 1979 1300 Trillium. Here is the issue. The top half of the lip edge is around a 1/4" thick.....however, the lower half expands to 1/2"+ thickness of the lip edge. I have found gasket material that fits top half.....but not lower. Need help. Thank you.

Hi, Michael,

Is this self-stick gasketing? Have you considered using the material that fits around the top half, and doubling up around the lower half? Close-up photos could help.

We reglued our old gasketing on our 1973 amerigo...but sooner or later want to replace it, some auto parts stores carry gasketing, so do camping world type stores...but we haven't found quite what we want yet. Maybe it's not as crucial as we think to find the exact same type of gasketing...we'll have to face that when we get to it.

Hoping your project comes out great!

BEST
Kai

Gasket around door opening

Hi I too have a Trillium and I found a "D" shaped hollow gasket on e-bay. I put it on my trailer and have had no leaks or gaps around the door! Just google the above description and you should find the listing. I used the 5/8" size gasket. It compresses to accomodate the width of the gaps! Good luck with your fix. Do make sure you clean the surface well and place the strip carefully as once it sticks it's hard to shift again ! Duane
