Gasket for lights

Hi: need to seal lights in a way that water is out and possible to change the bulb at a trucks top.
The old lights had silicone and very hard to remove chipped one.
Purchased two new reflect-o-light 110-150 lenses
Still have gasket problems but now will be able to change bulb.

1 got Cork Rubber gasket sheet at Canadian Tire
2 cut with scissors and exacto layers to fit
3 now glue layers
4 upgrade to stainless screws
5 will use leather punch for 3 holes at screws

Considering two sided tape to connect layers has anyone done this?

I would have used Butyl.

fwickeham reading aside will go with the rubberized cork gasket the link is with custom made base and they had more room to fill. I have the original bases and the outer lens flange goes over the edge of original base. The link would be good for anyone making a new base. If making a new base was needed would probably use Bargman No.99 Lens Reproduction as it looks similar and can be more readily replaced if broken.

Butyl to join the cork sections may work Donna D. Doing so would require it be used sparingly. Worry about seepage.

Inside pieces top left picture fills recessed depth and one ring over top fits just right. After test fit and worry about having a problem getting in for bulb changes if to much is used; will just punch screw holes in outer ring and screw the lenses on.

Thanks for your input though.
