Generator problem

Two years ago I purchased a McCulloch 2000 tc generator. It has worked fine until a bearing in the furnace of my RV went out and the generators overload light went on and stays on, also the amount of power has diminished. I have called around to see if it is fixable but no one wants to touch it because they say the company is out of business and they cant get parts for it. Would like to know if there is anything that can be done to repair?

IIRC, some McCullough models were rebadged Kipors -- You might look for a Kipor repair place.

yep, that one is a rebadged Kipor.

Kipors service network is growing by leaps and bounds. A google search should find a service center near you in Colorado.

When my overload light goes on I have to shut the unit down and restart and the light remains off.

Is it possible that you have your switch that allows the unit to run slower when not much power is needed is in the wrong position.

I assume that you are running on the AC Voltage side of the unit and if so, test to see if you can run on the 12Volt DC side to supply the voltage to your battery as the furnace more than likely runs on 12VDC.
