Glue for rubber strip

I am replacing the rubber strip around the small window in the door of a 13' 1977 Scamp. Found the strip. Wondering what kind of glue to hold it in place.

Would like to use something I can just put a bead of stuff on the edge of the strip and then push it into place.

3m automotive weatherstrip glue found at any automotive parts store. Follow instructions .

Go to auto parts store and get 3M weatherstripping glue. It’s used on older vehicles to glue door weatherstripping to body to seal door when closed. Get black if they have it,

Thanks for your suggestions. I called the Scamp Parts Store and they suggested "pure silicone for exterior applications." So I found a small tube of that at Home Depot and will apply it as soon as I can get the old glue off. It's very hard!
