Not having much luck with the search feature here. Would it be goo off, or goo gone that is talked about as being the best? I'm stripping off lino, and want to remove all the glue, etc. Thanks!

I have a bottle of Goo Gone. It works fine for removing the glue you're talking about. The best thing to use that I've found to remove lino glue is lighter fluid.

The previous owner of my boler used a few odd things to reattach and or replace seam tape. They used duct tape, blk tar (my favorite!) and some white gooey stuff. It first I thought it was silicone or something but it did not harden...just stayed gooey.
Anyhow...after trying many things... I came across Goof Off. Far different and way more powerful then Goo Gone. And it worked on all of the above!
