Hey everybody, great site. I am wanting to fix up Nugget, my 76 Trillium. I have some hairline cracks at the corners of the windows and vertically along the top of the rear window. Any suggestions on these before I consider painting? Should I reinforce from the inside first? Any suggestions welcomed.

It's more likely they are just stress cracks in the gelcoat than actual cracks that go thru both the gelcoat and underlying fiberglass.

Stress cracks in gelcoat are easily filled by using an excessive amount of house paint on your 4" brush when you paint it. That latex house paint just flows right in and after a couple more coats, you can hardly see they're there.

JUST KIDDING!

<going to my room now...>

Here's a thread on stress cracks that you may find helpful.

Fix'm, tow the Egg and they'll just come back! Not really worth the effort unless you are making a "Trailer Queen"
